Tips on Fall/Winter Club Usage
As you probably have noticed, with the fall weather, the club gets noticeably more crowded – it happens every fall. It is hard for the club to handle the sudden spike in traffic, so here are some tips that hopefully you will find useful:
Mondays are the busiest day at the club, especially if there is inclement weather. If you have a flexible schedule that day, please consider using the club between 11am – 3:30pm, or between 6:30 and 9pm.
In general, peak usage times on weekdays are 6am - 11am, and 4pm - 6:30pm. Again, if your schedule is flexible, consider exercising between the hours of 11am – 3:30pm or between 6:30 and 9pm.
Cardio machines often are used for warming up a few minutes before a class (times 6am, 9:30am, 11:00am), but after classes begin, many of the machines free up.
Classes - if you want to assure yourself a spot in class, please arrive at least 20 minutes before class to sign in. When classes are at our maximum capacity, front desk staff and instructors will not allow any more participants due to the uncomfortable and dangerous overcrowding.
Maximum number of participants allowed varies depending on class.
Weekends - with the exception of 8am - 9am, the club is not too busy. However, Saturday and Sunday classes can fill quickly, so arrive at least 20 minutes before class to sign in.
The club is also proactively looking at club and class usage, and we are implementing other measures such as more classes, more cardio equipment, and are working with the American Legion Hall next door so we can have many more participants per class.
